Bermondsey Beer Mile Tasting at Hiver

The Bermondsey Beer Mile is a run of railway-arch breweries, taprooms and bottle shops in south-east London, and one of the best-known craft beer destinations in the UK. Hiver's Bermondsey Beer Mile Tasting gives you a hosted introduction before you go off and explore it yourself.

Over 80 minutes, a Hiver host leads you through an expert-guided tasting in the Bermondsey taproom, explaining what you're drinking and why. You'll learn the tasting basics: what to look for in the glass, how to describe aroma and flavour, and how styles differ. That makes the rest of your day on the Mile more rewarding.

Explore afterwards

When the tasting finishes you'll get Hiver's self-guided map of local food and drink businesses, so you can carry on along the arches at your own pace. That makes it a good first stop if you're planning a full afternoon in Bermondsey.

When it runs

Tastings take place Friday to Sunday (Fridays 4pm–10pm, Saturdays 11am–late and Sundays 12pm–9pm). See Hiver's booking page for the slots on your date. Everyone must be 18 or over.

About Hiver

Hiver is a London honey beer brand, born out of an admiration for the city's urban beekeepers and a passion for craft beer. Its beers use only British ingredients and are fermented with raw honey, and the range includes a Honey Blonde Beer and a Honey Brown Ale. Hiver is one of the longest-standing venues on the Bermondsey Beer Mile, and its taproom on Stanworth Street has a live colony of bees in an exhibition hive on the wall.
