What you'll do

Along the way you'll pick up the sensory evaluation techniques that professional beer judges use to assess a glass, and hear the history and evolution of the styles you're tasting. This is tutored tasting rather than a rushed pub crawl, with time at each stop to smell, sip and talk through what makes each beer tick. Your four tasting stops are drawn from the mile's best-loved railway-arch breweries and taprooms, among them:
Southwark Brewing. The tour's meeting point and an established beer-mile favourite, where you'll settle in for your first tutored tasting.
Anspach and Hobday. A behind-the-arches taproom visit with a guided tasting of the styles brewed on site.
Moor Beer. Another characterful stop for tasting and expert commentary on what's in your glass.
