Our story

Brewing great days out since 2014

UK Brewery Tours was founded on London's Bermondsey Beer Mile and now runs award-winning brewery tours and beer tastings in cities across the UK.

Where it began

Born on the Bermondsey Beer Mile

Bermondsey is London's historic brewing heartland โ€” home to the Barclay Perkins Brewery, the largest in the world in 1809 and famous for its Porter. When Evin O'Riordain founded The Kernel Brewery under a railway arch in 2009, he sparked the craft beer renaissance that turned the neighbourhood into the famous "Beer Mile".

We started guiding tours there in 2014, and we've been showing people around Britain's best breweries and taprooms every week since.

Who guides you

Real beer experts, not script readers

Our tours are led by people who live and breathe beer โ€” like Paul Davies, an accredited Beer Sommelier, Certified Ciceroneยฎ and World Beer Awards judge who leads our Bermondsey tastings. You'll learn how sensory analysts and beer judges evaluate a glass of beer, and leave knowing the styles, their history and their evolution.

Guests regularly name-check our guides in reviews โ€” Steve in Bristol, Jo in Bermondsey, Darren "the Beer Sherpa" in Cardiff โ€” because a great guide is what turns a pub crawl into a brewery tour.

What we stand for

The UK Brewery Tours way

๐Ÿบ

Working breweries

We go behind the scenes at real, working breweries and railway-arch taprooms โ€” and the brewers themselves often show you around.

๐ŸŽ“

Tutored tastings

Every tour includes guided tastings โ€” typically 1/3 or 1/2 pint measures โ€” so you can taste and learn across styles from pale ales to stouts.

๐Ÿค

Small & personal

Small groups, flexible routes and tours that can be adapted โ€” including wheelchair-accessible routes where possible.
